July's fantastic energy has now peaked, but this is a generally solid show. Enough crowd for ambience, only intrusive in a couple of spots. Great Blue Skies, by which time the set has dialed in. Conscious Evolution jam is very laid back, almost desultory, but the 14-minute Voice in My Head is superb, the highlight of the show. Setting: the square in buffalo. free concert series, Tea Leaf Green opening for Donna the Buffalo directly in front of the sbd a bunch of tapers (Godwin, Hook, myself & others)- in front of them a group of my friends & in front of them a three kids ~20yrs old- The chick was obviously on something, as she gyrated her body in a spastic motion. Not only was her dancing completely off beat, but it never stopped. Constant movement through the song breaks, and she had no sense of the crowded atmosphere around her. The two full water bottles beside her shoes gave her away. The drugs must have kicked in during the beginning of Donna. After many bumps which led to drink spills, most of the surrounding fans were beginning to get irritated. A friend of ours reminded them that there were people standing behind them, when the girl and her guy friend turned around and said, "We’re just having a good time..." A few words were exchanged; my friend's wife's full drink was popped out of her hands by the "X'ed" out girl. The drink flew straight into the air and landed completely onto another friend. Tempers were flaring. The friend that originally mentioned to them to calm down, poured his entire beer over the dancing girl....she didn’t stop moving once during the pour. More words were exchanged as she had no regard for the insensitive act that she displayed...alcohol abuse!!!! Not to mention that our friend was completely drenched. I thought someone was going to hurt this skinny little girl.... She finally takes off....but her friends were still there...with the drugs beginning to take effect on them. A few songs later, the one kid began his dancing spasm with again no regard for the people around him. After the constant bumping, the girl standing directly behind him elbowed him and said, "Do you mind, this is not a mosh pit!" And then...... the RANT at about the 6:15 mark of track 12 He then ran off like a maniac. The crowd collectively cheered and there was much rejoicing. The drunk chick was dancing like she was taking ecstacy at a rav, the other woman was trying to keep her space and the raver and her boyfriend freaked out. After two minutes I couldn't stand it and found another place to stand.
